My name is Carrick Cameron and the North Oxfordshire Wine Club is my brand new project. After being involved in teaching and languages in one form or another for over 30 years, the call of the world of wine was too much to resist. Having qualified to Level 3 with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and an Associate of the Academy of Cheese, I am now ready to diffuse my enthusiasm for wine (and cheese!) around the local communities of North Oxfordshire and beyond!
The North Oxfordshire Wine Club will travel to wherever it is needed. All I need is at least eight people and a couple of weeks' notice and I will set up a memorable wine tasting experience for you and your group! The North Oxfordshire Wine Club will travel to wherever it is needed. All I need is at least eight people and a couple of weeks' notice and I will set up a memorable wine tasting experience for you and your group! I am happy to organise a venue near you or I can come to you - whatever's easiest. You can request a specific theme (by wine colour, grape, country or region of origin, food matches...), or I can suggest one for you. Also, remember that I'm happy to bring some cheese along to match the wines...
The Club is also available for hire for functions, celebrations, corporate events or anything where wine tasting seems like a good idea.
Maybe you only buy wines for less than a tenner from the supermarket, or maybe you only buy more expensive wines from specialist wine retailers. Whatever your current angle is, my aim is to open up the world of wine to you still further... At my wine tasting sessions, I will typically curate a selection of six wines to match that theme
Maybe you only buy wines for less than a tenner from the supermarket, or maybe you only buy more expensive wines from specialist wine retailers. Whatever your current angle is, my aim is to open up the world of wine to you still further... At my wine tasting sessions, I will typically curate a selection of six wines to match that theme - some will be familiar, some may be new to you. You will find out all about the wines and how both the terroir and decisions made by the winemaker has influenced the end product.
You may wish to buy some of what you have tasted! If you order a minimum of six bottles (any combination) after the event, you will get free delivery on the wines... and you will receive a £5 discount on your next Wine Club evening. What more could you ask for?!

If you would like advice on buying wine, whether from a supermarket or a specialist retailer, I am always happy to offer advice for no charge. If you would like me to source wines for you to suit your tastes, I can do this for a small fee.
